February 16, 2018 - Tyler Clem Suffers Concussion in Violent Flip at BRP
Tyler Clem was one of 31 USAC Sprint Cars signed in at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida) on Thursday for the opening night of the Winter Dirt Games 9. After laying down the 14th fastest time overall, Clem secured his spot into the A-Main with a 4th place finish in his heat race. Starting in 14th, Tyler dropped two spots in the 30-lap affair to place 16th.  

On Friday evening, Tyler was running in a transfer spot in his heat race until making contact with the outside wall that sent him barrel rolling into the turn-3 corner. He was able to exit the vehicle himself but was diagnosed with a concussion shorty after visiting the hospital.

February 11, 2018 - Top 5 Finish With United Sprint Car Series at BRP
Tyler Clem was back in action at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida) on Friday night competing with the United Sprint Car Series presented by K&N Filters. With 35 entries on hand for the two-day affair, Clem gained two spots in his heat to place 4th. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature, Tyler captured a 12-lap consolation victory positioning him 15th on the starting grid for the A-Main. Wheeling his way into a podium spot, Tyler Clem streaked through the field 12 positions to place 3rd behind Mark Smith and Carson Short with Tanner Thorson and Tony Stewart completing the Top-5 finishers.

Returning on Saturday night, Clem passed three cars in his heat to place 4th. Earning a spot into the Hoosier Tire Speed Dash, Tyler captured the 6-lap victory earning him the 13th-starting position for the finale. With $3,000 on the line, Tyler Clem jumped up seven positions in the 30-lap affair to place 6th.

On Sunday night Tyler was one of 37 competitors registered in for action at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida) for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned Bubba Army Winter Nationals. After laying down the second fastest time in his qualifying group, Clem scored a 10-lap heat race victory. Shortly after taking the checkered flag, Tyler discovered he had blown his motor axing his chances to start 4th for the $10,000-to-win A-Main. February 3, 2018 - Clem Opens 2018 Season With All Star Circuit of Champions
15-year-old, Tyler Clem battled ups-and-downs throughout the three-day stand over the weekend with the Arctic Cat All Star Sprint Cars at Bubba Raceway Park.

“Those guys are so tough, and you can’t give them a head start at all,” Clem noted. “I think we had a chance to get a win on Friday night, but luck wasn’t on our side with that lapped car. Despite the bad luck it was still a really good weekend for us, and we were able to show a lot of speed."

Tyler Clem kicked off the 2018 season on Friday night at Bubba Raceway Park (Ocala, Florida) competing with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions. In a field of 35 cars, Clem qualified second fastest in his qualifying group before placing eighth in his heat race. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature, Tyler scored a fourth-place finish, positioning him 24th on the starting grid for the A-Main. Moving up seven spots in the 30-lap affair, Tyler Clem reeled in a 17th-place outing.

On Friday after starting the night off with a heat race victory, Clem streaked to a 4-lap Dash win earning him the pole position for the main event. Bad luck struck for Clem, while battling for the lead in the early stages of the event. He and front runner Sheldon Haudenschild were collected by a slowing lapped car on lap 9. After restarting on the tail of the field Tyler rebounded to finish 15th.

Wrapping up the Bubba Army Winter Nationals on Saturday, Clem secured his spot into the Dash with a heat race victory. Finishing second behind Sheldon Haudenschild, Tyler earned the third-starting position for the A-Main. Hanging on to a Top-10 finish, Tyler Clem posted a seventh-place effort in the 30-lapper.
